Project Overview:

The Daping Mountain Tunnel, located in Quanzhou, spans 1,524 meters (5000 ft) and it is a crucial part of the city's "Eastward Expansion" transportation project. It connected the downtown area with the Wanan region in Luojiang District, reducing the travel time between the two areas to approximately 10 minutes. Due to the complex geological conditions within the tunnel, the construction faced several significant challenges.

Project Details:

Bimodeling employed 3D scanning and reverse modeling technology to conduct monitoring, scanning analysis, and point cloud surface fitting for the tunnel. By doing so, it assisted the construction parties with real-time detection and aided operation teams in performing maintenance duty. Furthermore, it also offered a variety of data formats for subsequent development and usage.
