Xinhua Road Underground Pipeline Detection Project (Xiamen, China)
Project Date: April of 2021
Project Location: Xiamen, China
Project Scope: Subsurface Infrastructure
Total Construction Area: 6820 m2 (Over 73,409.87 sqft)
Project Overview:
Xinhua Road in Xiamen is a historic street, and due to years of urban development and several renovations, the underground pipelines have become rather complex and sophisticated. The early construction lacked systematic planning, resulting in an intricate network of water, sewage, electricity, and communication lines, with incomplete or missing records. This situation posed significant challenges for future construction and maintenance; hence, professional detection and planning is essential to ensure the safety and efficiency of the city’s infrastructure.
Project Details:
Bimodeling employed professional scanning equipment to detect underground pipelines along the road, collecting data on pipeline direction and depth. This information was then used to create a comprehensive model of the underground pipeline system.
1. CAD Drawings
By utilizing the underground pipeline scanning technology, Bimodeling can detect concealed and incomplete pipelines as well as gathering data such as pipeline direction and depth to generate corresponding CAD drawings.
2. Underground Pipeline Statistics Table
A statistics table for the underground pipelines can be created based on the scanning data.
3. 3D Models
Utilized the data obtained from scanning to construct a 3D model.
