Applications of BIM: Bimodeling was responsible for structural and architectural BIM modeling, as well as the layout of outdoor integrated utility pipelines. The scope of the project also included first-phase BIM design services for the main building (including curtain wall systems), secondary MEP BIM modeling and optimization during the interior fit-out stage, cross-discipline BIM design optimization, virtual BIM mock-up sections, and 3D walkthrough inspections.

2.Design Phase

Construction Drawing Review and Coordination
Review and coordination of existing construction drawings were conducted to identify omissions and design conflicts. Coordination with the design institute was carried out to make necessary adjustments and prevent rework during the construction phase.

Issue Description: A clash was identified between the stair column and the fire door, with the current stair column layout found to be suboptimal.



Proposed Solution:To resolve the clash and optimize the stair column layout, the left stair column should be shifted 80 mm (approx. 3.15 inches) to the left, and the stair landing should be reduced by 700 mm (approx. 27.56 inches) on the same side.

Clear Height Analysis
Based on clear height requirements, the integrated MEP model was used to analyze vertical space. While ensuring proper routing of all systems, the clear height in each functional area was optimized to enhance overall spatial quality and improve the project’s design standards.

The water piping and cable tray are installed in the same location on two vertical levels, resulting in reduced clear height in that area.


The water piping was rerouted to the adjacent parking bay to free up space and improve the clear height in the affected area.
